Wild Dogs Gang up on Lion to Save Pack Member

Ellen Clark, is a 73-year-old psychotherapist and equestrian who visited Africa with her family and shared this amazing footage and story with LatestSightings.com:
Witnessing a pack of wild dogs gang up on a lion
“We were on a game drive and came upon a pack of 11 wild dogs. Three of them were busy finishing an old warthog kill. The dogs were close to the left side of the vehicle and my daughter was observing them.”

“I looked to my right and saw a female lion coming to the right side of the vehicle. The lioness bolted and grabbed one of the dogs. It was all a bit much for my daughter and she understandably started sobbing.”

“We saw the wild dog go limp in the lioness’s jaws…yet it continued to wag the tip of its tail. I think this was a signal to the pack that he was alive, and for them to put pressure on the lioness. The pack circled the lioness yipping and jumping.”

“The lioness turned and dropped the dog and it got up and scooted away! She attempted to chase but was unable to recapture the dog. Then the lioness turned and tried to walk away – however with no success. The dogs did not let her. They regrouped and circled her again, taunting her until she eventually managed to leave the scene.”

“It was exhilarating to see the dog get away and be part of this unforgettable moment.”
“It was a tension-fuelled scene as I personally don’t like to see animals killed. This being said, I understand it is the circle of life.”
