Jealous dog attacked mating stuck dogs

I came to This video because I saw just saw in my neighborhood 2 dogs stuck together then another dog attacked them. The attack was so vicious they separated and the male dog genitalia was ripped off. It was a gruesome sight. I never knew this could happen. So I am thinking that next time I see 2 dogs stuck together another attacking maybe I should intervene . How can I prevent something like what I witness happening? Would intervening cause me to be attacked ?

The only one I fell sorry for is the female, in pain and not being able to escape.. the least the person recording could have tried was destract the aggressor.. Not saying get close but destruction may have helped.. or ffs fix your damn dogs.. yeah that's. Much better idea!!
