She's so insecure and submissive. She hit the jackpot with such a good-natured and kind dog.  With some exercise and guidance, and some much-needed play time, she has the perfect dog.

As a lifelong doberman owner, people need to get breeds that they can handle, not just based on appearance and personal preference.  People need to understand not all breeds are for everyone.

I’m perplexed by how smart and willing to work this Doberman is. He probably hadn’t been outside since YESTERDAY, and he was still willing to give her all his attention. His sits, and downs are PERFECT! It’s kinda sad his talents aren’t being used to their full extent, but what’s most important is that a person and their dog can co-exist happily together. Trying to teach a human leadership is one of the hardest things to teach. It’s not an action, it’s a behavior. Good on you man for being patient with her.

She admitted she need direction as a first time dog owner. The fact she looked for help rather then getting rid of the poor pup is an awesome sign. She cares and is willing to learn. Hope she keeps it up.
