I can imagine the amount of fear and anxiety that poor girl must have felt. Just watching the interaction made me nervous and I was holding my breath. Thankful they are ok.

Instinctively, I did the same thing with a charging Rottweiler. He latched on to my forearm with his jaws, and I offered zero resistance. After a few seconds he released my arm and stood still next to me, and allowed me to return through the door I had just stepped from. Every point on my arm where there had been a sharp tooth, was now a bead of blood. I guess sometimes you just get stupid lucky.

In Alaska my mom and I were at a busy campground and a black bear came running through right toward us. My mom raised both hands above her head, waved them back forth, screaming "get out of here!" over and over again and ran at the bear. Because she's my mom, we were in it together and I followed everything she did. The bear ran away. My mom kept chasing the bear until it was clear it was not going to turn back around, so I did, too. She chased the very aggressive, hungry bear off by acting like she was bigger and making as much noise as possible. She saved a lot of people's lives that day. She was fearless.
